Hyundai Elantra

2011 hyundai elantra front view
The Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan, although it's a four-door hatchback as a ratio of Elantra Touring known. The sedan was redesigned for 2011 with improvements in fuel economy, design and functionality. Two trim levels are available: GLS and Limited. The GLS is equipped with 15-inch wheels and a higher rung of features like heated outside mirrors, accessories for power and a six-speaker audio system features iPod / USB. Options include air conditioning, cruise control and Bluetooth.

Improvements limited to 17-inch alloy rims, a sunroof and leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats as standard, with options such as keyless ignition / entry, a navigation system, a rearview camera and a premium audio system.

Elantra is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp and 131 lb-ft of torque. GLS models feature a standard six-speed manual gearbox with a six-speed automatic transmission as an option. The limited self-government includes as standard equipment. Elantra sold in California or states with the emission standards in California for a car that SULEV / PZEV certified, which reduces power to 145 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque.

Slip inside the Elantra and get a cabin that transcends most others found in this course. A stylish center console and the controls give some style into the cabin, and materials that may not be the best in its class, offers a rich look. Sufficient open space and a smaller diameter steering wheel to the size of the cabin. The Hyundai Elantra also scores points with its high fuel economy and a distinctive style. If you are looking for a new small car, the latest Elantra is an excellent choice.

Before the new model redesigned Hyundai Elantra available in the fourth generation, which ran from 2007-'10. Having established, the Elantra as a legitimate contender in the compact class with its previous generation car, a new style has improved Hyundai Elantra's, its handling and ride quality and re-organized in close high-end levels.

Two major trim levels are available: GLS and SE. The GLS has pretty well equipped to come but it lacked stability and traction control. They come standard on the SE after 2007. The SE also had more features and a sport suspension. In search of used cars, you can also experience the upscale Elantra Limited ('07 only) and Elantra Blue, an entry-level model for 2010 was only suggested.

The fourth-generation Elantra came with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder 138 hp and 136 pounds well-ft of torque. The transmission is a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Could have sold cars in California Emissions States cleaner exhaust emissions (PZEV), but were given for 132 hp.

The changes were minimal for this car. For 2009, the Elantra received an improved suspension and steering the development, with a new interior and the instrument will display on the radio. A USB / iPod audio jack is also available. But in general we were very impressed with this car very much and welcomed its spacious interior and comfortable, smooth ride quality and value of the dollar.

The previous (third) generation Elantra was produced by the model years 2001-'06 and was an important step towards the coach. The sedan was larger inside and out, and the revised sheet there is a nobler appearance. Reliability and quality were also significantly improved overall. The list of standard features was generous price of the car, and includes devices such as air conditioning, full power accessories, side airbags, 15-inch wheels and a cassette recorder AM / FM. The 2.0-liter engine delivers 135 hp (138 after 2003) and was mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

Elantra sedan was offered the Elantra GT in 2002 and also came with more standard features, including leather seats and CD player. The sedan was originally only available in base GLS trim, but in 2003, the Elantra sedan could be purchased in two versions - GLS and top-end GT. Although it still lacked the refinement of the segment leaders like the Honda Civic, shone in the third generation Hyundai Elantra, like a good choice for buyers looking for the maximum value for their money.

The second generation Elantra? built from 1996-2000 model years - is probably best avoided, if it has at least take a turn for the better of the original forgettable. The car has a welcome boost in power with the addition of a new engine, a 1.8-liter four-cylinder capable of 130 hp and 122 lb-ft of torque. Air bags were added to the list of safety features, and an estate body style was also offered. Driver of the Elantra was again in the 1999 model year increased by more than 2.0 liters. Overall, the second generation Elantra was a decent buy in the small car segment. It was not as polite as the delivery of Honda, Nissan or Toyota, but it was well equipped and fun to drive.

The first-generation Elantra was produced by the model years 1992-'95, during this period, the carrier of Hyundai as a sedan only. Unfortunately reflects the workmanship of the car and the reliability of its low prices. Elantra was then known, that sloppy in most areas, the matter. They were not too fast either, as all models of a 1.6-liter inline-4 good for 113 hp and 102 lb-ft of torque were motivated.
